Arrival Park is the open-air heart of The Crossing: lawns, formal gardens, trees, and paths around a circular open area at the dome's centre, where transient gates between OC universes most commonly manifest. Travellers step through into the cityship. Broad avenues radiate from the park like wheel spokes. There is no artificial sky: in space, a permanent night of stars, gas lamps burning constantly. Beside the park stand The Lantern, the arrivals' inn, and The Archive, the great library.
